.
...this is just brilliant. I just had to post this, poached from Patrick Lagacé's blog

Marc Murphy is a brilliant cartoonist, his website is here

Excellent cartoon :)
Disgraceful attitude of the Pope and all that follow his example...makes my blood boil !

it's all really sad. but like any organization, the people at the top seem to be completely out of touch with reality and any sense of true decency.

Hah, good cartoon!

The whole thing, top to bottom, is just shameful. My respect for religious figures is increasingly confined to the truly asectic members of the cloistered orders. All priesthoods can go to hell.

Glad I'm not religious.

Well that sums it up, doesn't it?!
Unbelievable.

Excellent cartoon. He's a true master to sum up all of that with just a few words and an image. Wow.

Very succinct and spot-on...Did you know that I grew up in a predominately catholic country and there seemed to be a great difference in the influence of the church there compared to the US...I don't see how anyone can support the church given these scandals, but people do...

Sometimes it astounds me that I miss so much news. I have no idea what we're talking about.

There's certainly a point to be made there, yes.

I don't even know why anyone is still surprised at any of this. Do we still have illusions about the infallibility of the papacy?

Here - it's par for the course isn't it?

Furball - indeed

Rachel - you and me both. it must be hard to see when you really believe in the catholic church

Bonnie - yep it sums it up quite well

Geewits - yes, it is a brilliant cartoon.

e - I don't get it either

Guillaume - Effectivement

SAW - There are numerous scandals rocking the Catholic church right now regarding pedophile priests who were sheltered by the church thus escaping the law in most cases and simply transferred when they were caught

tatty - there certainly is

XUP - I would imagine people are not so much surprised as pissed off.

The Pope should not only resign; he should be in jail.

All those poor kids over so many years.
