The Canadian government just announced that it will repatriate Canadian citizens from Lebanon, but not permanent residents. These are people who have immigrated to Canada and are simply awaiting their citizenship. If a permanent resident is travelling with family who are Canadian citizens, ok, but if the person is on their own, well, fuck 'em.
I'm embarassed to be Canadian.
