You know, I had similar thoughts when I first heard that Farrah was gone too: poor thing, she won't even get her own "deathday" (is that even a word? It should be: we say "birthday" don't we?). She'll always have to share it with Michael Jackson. That being said, I wasn't a huge fan of either of them, but I do feel a little sad today. Both were pop culture icons and they left us too soon.

She really is a Charlie's Angel now...

Pouty - Me too.

Susan - He did change the face of pop music forever.

Pinklea - I wasn't really a fan either, I don't much care one way or the other, but we're definitely going to be hearing a lot of Jacko music in the next couple of weeks.

Dumdad - Bwahhaha!

I kind of thought the same thing but also that Ryan must be pissed.
Happy days,

The Grim Reaper has been culling celebrities like mad lately, hasn't he/she?

You know what would have made her death more ironic, if Cheryl Ladd had been the next to die.

Completes the three, as superstition would have it: Ed McMahon, Farrah, MJ.

Oh my but this is bizarre. I was sitting in a bar yesterday when my husband called and asked, "Did you know Michael Jackson died?" I replied, "What an asshole! Now he's gone and upstaged poor Farrah."

Oh, that's funny - I thought much the same thing.

My first thought, too, was: "Well, there went Farrah's last chance to get on the cover of PEOPLE."

Happy Canada Day, Jazz!

No doubt there will be nonstop Michael Jackson coverage for the next two months, at least five "tell-all" books and legal battles that will go on forever. I haven't seen a frenzy like this since the untimely demise of Princess Diana. Priorities, ya know.

"In other news, we're at war in two countries and the government of Honduras was just overthrown..."

i'm with jill: this isn't Big News. celebrities have so little import when you're in the middle of war and death and poverty and people hurting and dying and going to bed hungry and losing their homes. what jackson did to himself was his own business; no need for us to treat it like a tragedy.
